Bristol Fashion Week S/S 2012

On Friday I embarked on a long, but well worth it, journey to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway! (when I say long it was only 45 minutes but the buses like to go around the houses a bit!)

I'd never been to Bristol Fashion Week before but being a photographer, and part time blogger, I jumped at the chance to get a blogging pass and attend. For anyone that isn't aware this year the Mall invited bloggers from around the South-West to attend for free, in return we were given a pass that allowed us to take as many photos as we liked, receive an awesome goodie bag, indulge in some pampering and be blown away by fabulous runway performances, what more could you possibly want!

Bristol Fashion Week! #BFW

Just thought I'd post a quick blog about Bristol Fashion Week! This year the Mall at Cribbs Causeway are hosting a live blogging event which can be seen on there website here.

Anytime someone posts something with #BFW on Twitter it will automatically be added to there live feed, giving you a way to catch up with all that's going on if you can't make it, or want to see things from a different point of view.

You can also go online and watch a live stream at 4pm.

If you are lucky enough to be attending BFW then say hello! I'll be wandering around somewhere with my camera taking photos of the show and things happening, and if you're a fashion/style blogger and would like me to take an outfit photo for your blog please feel free to ask.

Jacob

Been a bit slack on the old updating front but I promise this will get better! I've got a lot of project stuff going on currently, an essay to right, and mixed feelings about university all distracting me... but I'll save that for another blog!

I finally got round to treating myself to a Canon 5Dmk2! :D (after 2 years of saving!) So I put a little note on my Facebook page to see if any fancied a shoot and my friend Jacob kindly offered his services!

He loves Dr Who and Iron Man so we went with a Tennant/Downey Jnr Suit theme and I must say I am very happy with the results!
I've never had a shoot with a guy before so it was a bit different in the way of directing! But I enjoyed it and hopefully now I have some more confidence to shoot male models!

Bubble, pop, electric!

Just a few photos from a shoot I did on Monday with Grace Kingsley & Hannah Ellis. Both were so lovely and it was so fun to work with, it was one of those shoots where everyone gets into it and ideas and poses bounce round. We were going to go and do a location shoot but unfortunatly the weather was terrible so we've rescheduled that for April which gives me lots of time to make/source props. Got a feeling it's going to be a crazy  shoot, very theatrical and dramatic which I love! So keep an eye out for that!
