Dreaming Of Tomorow

A few weeks ago I hopped on a train to Portsmouth to hang out with the beautiful and amazingly talented Paige to shoot a photo story based on a lost pixie/Ophelia type character.

I think I'll post my mood boards at a later stage and talk about my shoot planning process if anyone's interested?
It was such a fun shoot, and Paige was the perfect model, she never once complained about dancing in muddy water banks, or laying in between branches!
I hope you like the photos as much as I do, and I would love some feedback on them.
Would you like to see mood boards or shoot planning? Is there anything in particular you'd like to read? I'd love to know!

Crown & Glory Lookbook

So FINALLY I can share the Crown and Glory Lookbook that I shot a few weeks ago in Bath. It was the best day with an amazing team which included Sophie from Crown and Glory, Megan and Paige modelling, and the wonderful Steph and Rhiannon on hand to assist, as well as items lent to us by Sugarhill Boutique, Vintage Style Me and Annabelles Wigs.
You may remember I blogged some behind the scenes stuff, but for now I'll let the photos do the talking!

I'd love to know what you think and if you'll be ordering anything!
Make sure you go check the collection out, there's loads of fab things and would make great Christmas gifts!

Photobooth fun!

A few weeks ago I had the task of filming my awesome friend Laura's wedding on an super 8 cine camera, as well as running a photo booth  Well the drinks had been flowing and people raided the prop box and here are the results - I think you'll agree, they are very funny!

As of 2013 I will be offering photo-booths as additional extras starting at £150 and can be totally themed towards your wedding! If you're interested please get in touch :)

Holidays are coming!

Would you believe that Christmas is only 43 days away! Seriously where has this year gone?
Anyhow I have a special Christmas offer for you if you live in Bristol/Bath, or can get to either of those places, I'm offering portrait shoots at only £75!

What is a portrait session? I hear you ask.
Well, it can be anything from a couple shoot, engagement shoot or family shoot, to a shoot with your pets or you and your friends drinking tea and having an winter picnic in the park!

How does it work?
I come along for an hour and take hundreds of photos of you! I have a very relaxed and candid approach, I'd rather let you have fun and capture those natural smiles and moments, than pose you. Especially if children are involved! I think it's far better to capture peoples natural playful personalities than tell you what to do.

What are these boring old terms and conditions?
Well, there aren't too many. Basically the offer is valid until the 9th December 2012. There is a non-refundable booking fee of £25, this will be taken off the final cost. The full Payment is required at least 24 hours before the shoot via bank transfer or Paypal. And the shoots must take place in Bristol or Bath (unless you would like to pay me more to come to you, which I can happily do! I love adventuring!)

So, what do we get again?
For the small sum of £75 you will get;
A one hour portrait session in your home or chosen location,
A private gallery for you to view all the images,
One 10x8 print and four 5x7 glossy prints,

And because I'm feeling especially festive, if you refer a friend that books you’ll both receive a free USB of up to 50 photos!

Additional extras are available such as a USB of up to 50 photos, larger prints, canvas prints, keyrings and mugs etc…

Any more questions? You'd like to book? Please send me a message either via my facebook page, or email me: coolstoryclo@gmail.com

Secret gigs with Dr Martens!

On Tuesday I was lucky enough to be invited to the secret gig launch night of the Dr Martens
store in Broadmead, Bristol. If anyone knows me well, they will know I live in my limited edition Hello Kitty Docs, which you can see above! They are by far the best shoes I've ever owned. They're still intact despite wearing them for almost 365 days in rain, snow, sun, mud etc. I wear them to all my shoots as I know I'll be able to climb onto things, or walk across crooked paths without slipping or falling. So when the little email popped up in my inbox there was only ever going to be one answer... yes!

The shop was seriously awesome, and I loved the mural behind the till that said "Cheers Drive!" such a nice Bristolian touch on things. I do have a small confession, despite being a massive lover of Doc Martens I was naive enough to think that all they sold were shoes and boots... Oh how wrong I was! Lined up around the walls and tables were some of the prettiest and wonderfully made satchels I have ever seen, so when the manager announced after a few beers that there was a lovely bit of discount off that evening I swiftly sent my mum a text asking if I could buy one on her behalf as a birthday present to myself, and when she replied saying yes I pretty much squealed and leapt in the air (luckily the band was playing so I didn't look too odd!)

I decided on going for this beautiful pink and black satchel that matched my shoes, the quality of it is fantastic, and I am seriously going to love using my bag all the time!

Next on my list of things to buy are these shoes, and also I'd quite like to own this pair too! Infact I'd quite like to own the whole store!

Will you be visiting the Dr Martens store anytime soon?

Belated birthday post

With all the university projects I have on currently I forgot to post a few photos from my mums birthday back in September. She didn't want anything big so I threw her a little picnic/tea party at my nans house.
I went for a seaside kitsch feel with the decor, hope you like them!
